How to change the company name or address details on Cyber Essentials Basic/Plus Certifications

If you need to update the company name or address on your Cyber Essentials Basic/Plus Certification, whether due to a change in company registration or to include updated business details, here’s the process you need to follow:

  1. Prepare and Submit a Signed Letter

    • Use your company’s letterhead and the following template:

         To whom it may concern,
         Re: Request for company name change on certificate
         I can confirm I am a board level officer of [COMPANY NAME].
         We have undergone a change to the registered name of our company, from [ORIGINAL COMPANY NAME] to [NEW COMPANY NAME]. Please find attached confirmation of this from Companies House.
         I can confirm that there have been no changes to the Cyber Essentials answers supplied, other than the name.
         Please re-issue our Cyber Essentials/Cyber Essentials Plus Certificate under the new registered company name.
         [Signed and Dated]
  2. Attach Proof of the Name Change

    • Include official confirmation, such as a Companies House document demonstrating the name change.

  3. Submit the complete request to IASME by contacting [email protected].>

Please note, IASME charge an administration fee for any amendments to certificates. IASME will provide you with the current fee.
